We were commissioned by West Of England Insurance to build a new browser based MIS system. This would bring summaries of complex financial information to the desktop of directors and actuaries.
The MIS system is based on a MS-SQL database, MS Reporting Services and a bespoke interface that allows the users to apply complex filters and data selection rules to the data before the reports are built.
For this project, we applied our data pyramid technology that permits the following:

Summary reports from millions of transactions with the ability to drill down continuously to original transactional data
