The newest addition to our portfolio of marine industry clients is Monaco based Fraser Yachts - the world’s leading, full-service yachting company. Fraser Yachts offers support, advice and assistance in every aspect of luxury yacht ownership and operation, from design and construction through to management and sale, and is also the world’s leading luxury yacht Charter Company, providing charters to destinations throughout the world.
As you can imagine, a great deal of trade passes through Fraser’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system every day, but unfortunately, it wasn’t giving them a management overview of the company’s finances.
One of our specialist areas is management information dashboards. Management information dashboards track the flows intrinsic to a business – they monitor all processes and allow users to see the high-level processes as well as drill down into low level data that is often inaccessible.
For Fraser, the aim was to determine what revenue falls, and when, in order to
1. Understand cash flow better
2. Better plan publicity campaigns, and
3. Better deal with the brokers with whom they act jointly on these charters.
We needed to make this information available in real time to senior management, ane present it in a way that was easy for them to understand and interrogate.
Working with Antibes based Super Yacht specialists Techman (www.techmansoftware.com), we created a management information dashboard that allows the users to manipulate their data and home in on the information they need.
The dashboard is delivered as an intranet web site, and was built using Microsoft SQL Server and the .NET framework.
